The boys' cross-country team was in action again Saturday at
the Plainfield Relays, a race in which pairs alternate one-mile repeats for a
total of 6 miles. The Bulldogs had a
very strong showing, placing 7th out of 18 teams, thanks in big part to our #1 team
of Mark Bond and Hari Sathyamurthy. The
dynamic duo placed 10th overall out of 80 finishers. Bond had the team’s fastest average,
traversing the course at a clip of 4 minutes and 55 seconds per mile!
Sathyamurthy followed Bond's pace, averaging 5:08 per mile,
while Elijah Wagner (5:16 per mile), Brandon Britton (5:21 per mile), Marcus
Fierek (5:22), and Seth Webster (5:23) turned in stellar performances on the
flat, grassy loop. Caleb Krizan was the
top Brownsburg finisher in the JV race, cruising 2 miles in a time of 11:50.
