The boys' cross-country team came home Saturday from the
Southport Invitational with a strong 4th-place finish out of 14 teams! The
individual highlight of the meet was the runner-up finish by Mark Bond, second
only to last year's state track champion in the 3200 m run. Hari Sathyamurthy
rebounded from a hip injury last week to place an impressive 16th out of 108
finishers. Seth Webster ran a great race
as the #3 Bulldog to cross the finish line, followed closely by Elijah
Waggoner. Devin Boone was the top Dog in
the JV race, while Michael Powell and Keaton Mills earned "Dog of the
Meet" honors by knocking nearly 1 minute off of their personal record
times!

Noblesville Black & Gold Recap
The boys' cross-country team was in action Saturday at
Noblesville High School, competing in a 16 team invitational. The Bulldogs ran a strong race, finishing in
8th place overall and running their record to 19 victories against 17
defeats. Almost every varsity member ran
JV last year, so their improvement against a very talented field has been fun
to watch!
Mark Bond continued to lead the Bulldog attack with an
average time of 4 minutes and 58 seconds per mile for 3 miles in the relay-type
race. He and teammate Hari Sathyamurthy
romped to an 11th place finish, followed by the teams of Elijah Waggoner with
Brandon Britton and Seth Webster with Marcus Fierek. Webster earned "Dog of the Meet"
honors with his fast and consistent miles during the event. Caleb Krizan was one of the highlights of the
day, making his first varsity start and finishing with an impressive 5:48 pace
per mile.
